I would like our incoming mail server to send an email to a sender, should their email exceed (in MB), the threshold governed by our mail server (Sendmail).

For example:
"Sorry your mail exceeds 6MB please visit our FTP site ..."

From experience, some senders (but not all) are informed by their mailservers.

Is my idea possible?

Many thanks

YOU can't, it is the senders mail server that delivers the NDR and the reason, Your server simply gives the remote MX a 550.2.1 response (Message too large).

Chris.
