This is a follow-up request to the thread sent by Golding on August 4 by the same Subject. I would like to send email to a distribution group with the recipients seeing only their name, or the name of the distribution group, not the names of all the people in the group. Cav mentioned that there was a possibility of third party software to accomplish this. I understand that BCC is an alternative, but I agree w/ Cav that this isn't very professional. Would any one have an idea where to look for this, or have other suggestion? Thanx in advance!

The BCC may seem unprofessional to you, but it is the standard practice. Put yourself in the TO field and BCC your distribution list. The only way you can have them see the name of the distribution list is if the distribution list is stored in the global address book on the server; hence, it cannot contain anyone outside the company. I have no knowledge of 3rd-party software and doubt that it exists for Outlook.
