Sending from MSAccess to GW

I have a need to send an appointment from a scheduling program written in MS Access to the appropriate user's Groupwise Calendar. I'm sure it can be done. There is a Groupwise address book control in access that will display the address book, so I know that Access can talk to Groupwise, but that is where the MS help ends.
