I am using an Epson TM-U295 Slip printer. I want to send Escape Sequences ( Control Codes ) to the printer with my report to have it roll the paper down before it prints and a couple other things. Does anyone know where I can put these on my report? Our first idea was to send the codes to the printer via txt file before sending the report itself, but thats not a good way of doing it. Anybody have any ideas? I am using Crystal Reports Version 8.

I would put them in the Report header. If necessary, create a sub-section in the report header part. If the characters print on your form, change the color to white.

This should work..... Howard Hammerman,

Thanks for the reply Howard. That's not working though. My Epson simply prints the characters and ignores the commands. We changed the print to white, but it still prints on the form. I know that these commands work because when we have the printer installed locally for testing, we can send them via txt file and they work.

It seems that when we have them on the form, it treats it as just regular text, not control codes. Does anyone know how we can make the printer see them as control codes instead of just text?
