Imail 8.05 Version, Window 2000 Server

This is troublesome to Restart the SMTP service all the time. May anyone facing this problem and what is the root cause to caused this problem?

IMail 8.05 has an identified SMTP vulnerability that if triggered will cause the SMTP service to stop.

Ipswitch has a fix for that vulnerability, but they only released for versions 8.22 and up. You would need to upgrade to at least 8.22 and apply the fixed dll. The fix is included in IMail 2006.2 and up, so you could also just upgrade to the latest version.
