I have a service running on a Win2K Server, which basically monitors a database, and sends an email notification based on some criteria. I have a user set up for this service, with an Outlook profile, which has an Internet account setup (SMTP server, not Exchange).
The service is creating the emails without a problem, but they sit in the Outbox until I physically logon to the server as that user, and run Outlook. Then the emails actually get sent.
Is there any way that these emails can get sent without having to logon to the machine and run Outlook?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
