Sending DTMF to Fax Server

We use a PRI line for voice and fax lines. I have 2 DID number pools -- 4600-4699 (voice) and 5600-5699 (fax).

Each user has a private voice number, and a matching private fax number (4650 for voice and 5650 for fax).

We are using a software FAX server with 2 analog lines for incoming faxes. This software can be configured to listen for DTMF tones, thus enables a fax to be routed to the correct user.

Is there a way that I can configure for the following:
- Route all calls to the 5600-5699 number to one of 2 analog ports, and return busy signal if they are both in use.
- Send the DTMF tones of the last 4 digits of the fax number dialed.

Thanks!

You could renumber an adjunct extension to match the user's private fax number, so there is a target for it. Create a 2nd voice mail calling group, and cover the adjuncts there, setting the calling group as Integrated VMI. It will output the digits, but it will also send "mode codes", which you will need to determine and program the fax server to ignore.

If both ports are busy, I think the call will "camp on" to the calling group and ring through when available. Since it is an incoming fax call, the sending fax will probably time out and resend, since they don't distinguish between busy, no answer, and wrong numbers anyway.

Do you have a example of the output digits and "mode codes" that the system might send?
