Groupwise 5.26. A User has recently discovered that when he sends a piece of mail for other than immediate delivery, some unusual things can happen as follows. When the delivery is scheduled for a date in the future that is beyond the completion of Daylight Savings Time (or the onset of Daylight Savings Time if the time of sending were on Daylight Savings Time), the scheduled time for delivery decrements time and dates no matter where it is set. I can't imagine why this would even come into play until the time actually changed and even then, why would groupwise screwup? The way this was discovered was by sending a mail item using the advanced option scheduled sent feature. While the item is still pending, if we look at the properties of the item, the send date and time are not where they were originally set. Has anyone heard of this and does anyone have any ideas?

I have read that and other TIDs relating to problems with the delayed send feature. None were exactly the problem we are encountering. Daylight Savings Time is aproximately 30 days away and that is the threshold where the problems do or do not occur. The TID listed above was first written in early 1999 and revised a few times. Within that TID they refer to it being March of 2000 and still working on a fix. Groupwise 5.2 is not supported any longer so it looks like they just left it long enough to avoid having to apply any resourses to the problem. How can we trust the delayed send feature in this version of Groupwise? If any Novell/Groupwise techs read this, why not bring it up with your boys?
