I have done this in the past and cannot remember where I change the url to redirect the submitor to a save landing page vs. the full list of items.

I will supply a link that opens directly to the create new "form" (not infopath), then when it is filled out I want to send the person back to the welcome page not the actual list.

I remember doing this because I ran into the 250 character limit for a url.. Restructured site so it should go if I could just remember where to update the source=

Solved this myself, will respond so others can find if needed.

I created a library very high in the site nest and named it with a TLA

then on the "client" site I put a link to the "request form" and used the URL of the "new" button of the original TLA list.

In the URL I cut of at Source= and replaced with a landing page.

It works for both ok or cancel response.

Only caveat is to be aware of the ~250 character limit in a linking url.
