We are running two win2k adv server machines with Citrix Metaframe. Because these boxes are in use all day the only time I have to get onto them to install programs or fix problems is late at night. I have access through Citrix and Terminal Services from my home computer and want to be able to reboot the servers from home. I know that with PCAnywhere you can send control-alt-delete to a remote host, but I can't figure out how to do it with Terminal Services. I can reboot the machine but it won't accept any Citrix or Terminal sessions until someone has logged in locally at the console. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation?
Any help is much appreciated...
Todd

My suggestion would be to use netmeeting. It should already be on the servers and only need configuring to make the desktop accessible remotely. It allows you to send a ctrl-alt-del and works well.

Thanks,
I will try that...

Look at this URL for Shortcut Keys:
ALT+PAGE UP Switches between programs from left to right.

ALT+PAGE DOWN Switches between programs for right to left.

ALT+INSERT Cycles through the programs in the order they were started.

ALT+HOME Displays the Start menu.

CTRL+ALT+BREAK Switches the client between windowed and full screen mode.

CTRL+ALT+END Brings up the Windows 2000 Security dialog box.

ALT+DELETE Displays the Windows menu.

CTRL+ALT+MINUS SIGN (-) Places a snapshot of the active window, within the client, on the Terminal server clipboard (provides the same functionality as pressing PRINT SCREEN on the local computer).

CTRL+ALT+PLUS SIGN (+) Places a snapshot of the entire client windows area on the Terminal server clipboard (provides the same functionality as pressing ALT+PRINT SCREEN on the local computer).

If I understood you correctly, you are attempting to log in and am having to hit cntrl-alt-del. I am able to do that with my version of terminal server with no problem. Is that an issue with Citrix?

Terminal Service is great... It automaticcally sends the Ctrl-Alt-Delete to the server in Administration Mode.

I know that PC Anywhere has a button that you can press that sends the command... You might want to start there.
