sending confirmation

I am running Groupwise 6 and I am looking for a way to send a confirmation notice to users who send help desk trouble tickets, that I have recieved there ticket, automatically. Is there a way I can do this without having to type a response everytime I recieve a ticket?
 
You could setup a rule that automatically sends a reply.
