Sending attachments

Using Outlook Express 6, Windows 98SE.

When I send an e-mail with an attachment, the attachment goes fine but it is included, also, in the body of the e-mail. I have un-checked 'send pictures with messages'. How can I keep the picture from being part of the message and just go as an attachment?

That behavior depends on the software being used by recipient of the e-mail. If you send a message from OE to someone using Outlook the image does not get automatically displayed. If you send that same message to someone using OE it will get automatically dispalyed regardless of the format type. joegz
