Sending AOL emails through Entourage/Groupwise

I have a users who's having a problem sending emails to aol. I can send emails to yahoo, verizon, and hotmail but nothing to aol from Entourage or apple mail. I can received aol messages but I can reply. Here's my environment setup:

Groupwise 6.0
Novell 5.1
MAC OS 10.0

15-20 Apple users (Entourage is pointing to their Groupwise Postoffice)

Do they bounce? i.e., Do you get a message from AOL mail servers that says, 'your message did not reach blah blah blah'? Or do they just drop into a black hole?

From your yahoo or hotmail account, can you send email to the same target AOL addresses? Is it possible the AOL recipients are goofballs who are filtering out your messages as spam?

I don't think this is anything to do with Mail or Entourage. This is a problem with the communication between your outbound SMTP server and AOL's inbound. Either your mail server can't find/make a connection with their mail server, or their mail server is denying the connection/rejecting the mails. Right? Isn't that the most likely scenario?

Please post with more details of error messages recieved.

The user receive a message from our emails. This is a Novell/Groupwise environment w/ a few Mac's.

Yes, I can send emails to the same target AOL address. I can also send/receive emails from a pc using Groupwise or Webaccess.

I'm using my aol address as a test. I'm not blocking any address or domain.

Entrouge is pointing to our emails database.

Okay, let's clarify a few points.

1) Using Mac OS X. (Using 10.2 or 10.3? You stated 10.0, but I don't think that is correct)

2) Groupwise 6 for mail server

3) Entourage (X? 2004?) or Apple Mail for email. Both? Each client uses both? Some clients use one, some the other?

4) The problem is sending email from any of your Mac users to your personal AOL address. No matter if they use Entourage or Mail, it doesn't go. Using the WebAccess provided by Groupwise, these same users can send to your personal AOL address.

5) When using Entourage or Mail, the Mac users receive an error message from your Groupwise server when attempting to send the message. What is the error message? (You stated "The user receive a message from our emails." I take it that they get an error message of some sort.)
