Sending a message from one process to another

I've got process A, that spawns process B (CreateProcess).
Is there a way I could send some data (message) to process B? Smth like SendMessage for windowed apps? (Note: my application used console only)

This article is not about "sending messages beetwen processes" but if you dowload the example, there, an EXE sends a message to another EXE. Maybe it helps you.
