This is not to be mistaken with sending *to* a distribution list, but sending your distribution list to someone else.

Currently I have the following problem: We have two companies, with two separate e-mail systems on two different forests.

I can take a distribution list from my contacts on an e-mail account in one forest and send it to someone else in the same forest no problem. When I try to send them cross-forest, the attachment name and extension remain the same, but instead of a distribution list, the attachment is seen as a blank e-mail.

Anyone know how to get this to work correctly?

Maybe you could copy the distribution list to your desktop, zip it with a password, and then try sending the zip file. It sounds like a firewall stripping the email attachment to me.

One other thought: if you just can't get it to send via email, can you not just use a thumb/flash/pen drive or some other external storage to transfer the file... or possibly over a shared network drive?

Did you solve the issue? I never did ( thread605-1429131 ). Though I confirm that a memory stick works. I don't think I tried zipping.
