I do not know what i have done wrong when configuring sendmail. Sendmail is set up to perform internal E-mail and send non-internal e-mail to its destination on the WWW. SO if i send an e-mail to bob@hotmail it relays through my sendmail machine and onto the web.

The problem is it will not masquerade. When an e-mail is sent it still shows the hostname of the sendmail machine i.e:
user@host.domain.com.

Does anybody have a great deal of knowledge on masquerading? Could you shre it with me!? Please?

i sed the files ... sorry, never did work out a way around it.

if you want a way around it and have a smart mail client you can set the 'from:' address in your mail client.

Thanks Jad, i have been doing that for the mean time. I just want it to masquerade so if somebody did put in the wrong relpy-to address then no errors would occur. It looks like im all sweet for now thanks for your help man! Sproosy MCP
