send voicemail to different extension? 1

How can I send voicemail from one extension eg 2xx to a different extension, 2xy? I want to be able to do this for people on holiday or temporarily, for people who have left the company.
With forwarding the call gets routed back to the original extension, if that extension is busy, which is what I don't want. Or, is there a way to force the call to the forwarding extension?

If using VM pro you can specify in the leave mail action which mail box the message is to be sent to

Thanks for that tip IP, but now I need to try and work out how I can integrate a leave mail into my current auto attendant setup. If I were to do that and route the vmail straight to another extn, would it override everything? ie, if someone calls the extn direct(internally or externally) would this leave mail action be called up?

I want ANY call to that extn to be routed to another and also the vmail to be routed to the other extn too.

Or am I trying to set this leave mail in the wrong section?
For instance, where do the default voicemail routes get configured?

Just create a new Leave startpoint under the user's name. Create a "Leave Mail" action, point the "Start Point" at it, and configure the "Leave Mail" properties to go to a specific mailbox. This will make any voicemail destined for the user's mailbox go to the mailbox specified in properties, regardless of where the call started or how it was routed.
