Anyone know if it's possible to broadcast a voicemail to one or more users or groups from an existing .WAV file created outside Voicemail Pro?

I know you can use the Edit Play List function to record a message from a phone, and then send that to one or more mailboxes.

My client, however, has .wav files recorded by a marketing company, that they want to broadcast to their users via voicemail. Recording via the phone by holding the phone up to the PC speaker is less than ideal.

Any way to take the pre-recorded .WAV file, put it on the voicemail pro PC, and broadcast it?

Thanks in Advance!

Provided the Wav Fiel is recorded in the correct format there should be no problem using them in VM Pro actions

But I can't seem to find a VM Pro action to use that will take an existing .wav file and process it. The Edit Play List requires you to record the message (even though the .wav it points to already exists) before it will be passed to the Next action where I can forward it to mailboxes.

Any suggestions on which actions I can use that will take the existing .wav (not make you record it through Edit Play List) and forward it?

Thanks!

When you say broadcast do you mean a) play the wav to all the users simulataneouly or b) have the wav trun up in their mailboxes as individual messages to play when they want.

a) Can be done with a Post Dial action to a hunt group but I hate to think what the capacity limits are.

b) Can be done by forwarding the wav into a hunt group mailbox that has been set to Group Broadcast.
