I have a Starplus STS KSU. Our school participates in Webinars (teleconferencing) where we receive our video via the internet and the audio portion via telephone. In a classroom situation I have been putting the call on speakerphone and turning the volume as high as possible which leaves much to be desired. I would like to be able to take the audio output and send it to the amplifier in the classroom so whe can hear it on the overhead speakers. We do not normally need to talk to the presenter of the webinar.
I know that there are devices that can connect between the incomming line to the phone but I think they work on analog signals.
Also there is a connection on the phone to replace the handset with a headset that may work somehow.
Any suggestions? I'm not afriad to solder or take the phone apart.

Thank you in advance,
Richard

The STS phones have a built in headset jack on the side. (2.5mm mono) Perhaps you could hook into that to get to your amplifier. By default the headset option is not enabled. There is some system programming required as well as individual phone set programming.
