send sms from delphi app to mobile phone

Dear Delphi lovers,
Can anyone reccommend a good & free (link to)a component for sending free sms from a delphi application to a mobile phone or any sms enabled device ?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can send free sms messages to mobile phones. A few years back there were sites on the internet that allowed free sms messages but they were country specific. I don't know if they are still there.

One thing we did about 3 years back is that we bought a sms box from "Some company" and then we coded a program that used that box to send sms messages to a few specified phone numbers. The software monitored some services and servers and if one went down, we'd get a sms message right away.
