Send second call to engaged/voicemail

Hi,

We have a customer that primarily uses 3720 DECT phones and 1408 digitals

They would like calls to a person who is already on the phone to go straight to engaged or if that cannot be achieved then straight to voicemail

On the 1408s we can have two call appearances and tick Reserve Last CA which will send calls to voicemail after two rings, however how do we set this up for DECT phones?

Is there anyway to have calls go to engaged without turning off voicemail on the extension? I know that may defeat the point of voicemail but customer wants it.

Any ideas?

DECT sets ar single line phones so disable call waiting on those sets will make'm busy when busy and no VM is on.

Have you considered creating single-user hunt groups with queueing? If using VM Pro you could up a queue message with an option to leave a message or dial another extension.
