Send/Receive error

Although I do not use dialup services to send any messages, for a few weeks my machine continues to try and send 4 messages via the dial up service. There is nothing showing in my outbox and I have no idea what these messages are.
Can anyone tell me how to eliminate them?

Sounds like either a virus or spyware installed a dialer service.

First do a full virus scan. I usually doulbe-ckeck with a second online scan.

Then scan your system with at least 2 anti-spyware programs. I use AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy. both are free, available at
