Send problem with outlook address book

When sending, this message appears

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'

Now article 275171 says rebuild the system folders which will mean it's current contents will be lost. What will happen? Will the Exchange have other problems? How can I backup these folders?

Help - I don't want my Exchange goosed!
