Hi all, i'm an apache newbie and i have a little problem for apache masters.

I'm using nagios monitoring software.
somme times i have to stop some machines or process and i know it will send a warning to nagios.

I'd like to send a popup to all the windows web clients logged on nagios to prevent them calling me about the process i stopped.

I'm runing on Linux with apache.

Thank's in advance for your help

You can't really do this, once you stop apache its stopped, it can not serve more pages. You also can not tell apache in mid process 'send this stuff'. Its binary, on or off.

The best you can do is startup another apache when you take down your primary. That second apache would just have a page that says 'doing maintenance dont call me'.
