I have a job that runs in sql and I want to email the resultant csv file.

Is it possible to send this file as an attachment via a batch file?

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months

Blat or one of the other command line emailers should work.

Yeah, some of our dev-types use this to email-enable their apps. Seems to work well enough.

Note:
This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature. To send mail from SQL Server, use Database Mail.

This note tends to lead me away from this particular solution. Extended MAPI would imply you need outlook installed on the SQL server. I'd look at Database Mail instead if you want to go down this path. At least the supportability is there.
