I am new to qmail but have a requirement to send mail for a particular domain to a flat file on our qmail server which is acting as a relay. I thought of changing the smtproutes file so that instead of domainname.com:ip address it read something like domainname:file name but this appears not to be possible! Any suggestions/solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Is this for all users at the domain or is there one user?
You could allow for local delivery on the final destination for recording the flat file and use a scripted behavior in that user's .qmail file.
