Receptionist needs to go away from desk. Need to know if receptionist can send incoming calls temporarily to another extesion?
The extension number she needs to send incoming calls to could change from day to day. I know I could just program another mode to accomplish this but since the extension could change, can the receptionist input what extension the incoming call should go to?

How are incoming calls set up? It would depend if you are using a ring group or DIL or DIDs.

If it is a ring group, no the destination cannot be changed without using a different mode or a transfer destination, neither can be changed without programming access.

If you're using DIDs or a DIL setup, the receptionist can using call forwarding.

Using the different modes, you can set incoming calls to route to a virtual extension. Attendant then changes the mode to ring to the VE, and then dials:

790, 1, extension number they want to ring, hold.

790 is cfwd all calls per extension (11-11-52), and allows one extension to change another extensions call forward destination
