Send emails

I have just finished set up the Exchange Server for my company. I am now able to recieve email internally and externally, but I am not able to send email **externally**.

Internally is fine but when I try to send to an external email address it leaves the client machine and then gets queued on the Exchange and never leave. It just stays in the queue...
Why are all external outgoing emails being queued??????

Have I left something out. I don't think I have!
Could some please, please help me.

If the IMC service is running then I would check the SMTP it is going to.

Try checking outbound emails from the command line (telnet to port 25).
