I was wondering if there was any way of creating an email and placing it in ,say, the outlook draft folder.????

When i try to send an email from access via outlook, it keeps coming up with security messages etc., which is a nuisance..

I also, do not want to use a 3rd party smpt server...
ie. vbSendMail

I was thinking, if i can just place the generated emails, with attachments, into the draft folder, the user can then just go into outlook and send them in bulk manually, when it suits them..

Appreciate any help

this won't change the security pop-up , you can stick things in draft, you use object.display instead of object.send.

There is no way around the security warning using just MS Access VBA and outlook, the way we deal with it is by running a free progam that acknowledges the alerts on the users behalf.

1DMF and PVA,

Really appreciate the help offered.

I can see it is a bit of a problem....at least i am now aware there is no simple solution....

Will probably look at using a smpt server...not really sure yet !!!!

Once again, appreciate the help

PVH...

I have had a good look at all the options and they all seem
to need smtp.

If i use smtp, i have not problem with the code, but feel a little uncomfortable getting a client to send all emails via some smtp server, who i do not even know (*)_(*)

I will have a look to see if i can use say Google Mails smtp server, which i would feel a little more comfortable with.

Would appreciate any other ideas

Just remember using an SMTP server in this manner means there is no record of 'Sent Items', which using Outlook would provide.

I know the pop-up is annoying, and yes using Express Click-Yes could leave you vunerable to viruses sending email without your control, but i've not as of yet ever found this to be the case in the 6 years we have used Express Click-Yes, our virus protection and email filtering stops any nasties even reaching our machines, so the only pop-ups this Express click-yes has ever said 'Yes' to is mail we sent!
