Hi all, this group has really helped me get more out of procomm. Here is what I am trying to do. I capture an output from a 5ESS SWITCH. Is there a way I can have an email sent to me whenever a specific keyword scrolls across the screen? Thanks in advance.

You would use either the waitfor command (likely with the FOREVER keyword) or when target to detect when that string has come across. As for sending an email, I have a few scripts on the samples page of my site that show how to send email through Outlook (or other MAPI-compliant programs) or use Procomm's built-in email client.

If you still care, I had this exact same issue logging from a Nortel CS1000E. I posted my script today as a How-TO (actually HowTO do real-time logging but your thing is in there). Take a look.

If you have any questions please ask and I will answer.
