send email to particular address or all users when announcement added

Hi,

I've only just started to administer Sharepoint Services taking control from someone else.

We have an annoucements section that I'd like to have email either to a particular address or to all the members able to view the site.

Is this possible? Can you explain exactly how this is done.

Hello,

With the 2003 version that is not possible to do out of the box. You as an administrator can't force alerts to other users.

There is a webpart that can handle this for you, and it is a freebee. You can find it at

I have used it and it works, but the version I tested had some few bugs in it.
