Send E-mail via Script 2

Does anyone know how I can send a HTML based e-mail using a script?

I’m setting up a weekly newsletter for my company and my company wants the newsletters to be in HTML.

I want to do is iterate through the e-mail list and send the HTML e-mail to each user.

Anyone have any ideas if this is even possible using VBScript or if there is any other FREE way of doing this?

has some good e-mail examples such as the e-mail attachment example which uses the newer CDO (instead of the deprecated CDONTS which no longer ships with Windows).

PHV, the original poster's comment "any ideas if this is even possible using VBScript" leads me to think the user has "no clue" (not trying to be mean to the original poster).

He wants to do several things. He wants to send email, but to each member of a list, and include an attachment. This will take him some time.

To answer one of his questions, Yes, it is possible.

How to do it, well I'm still a "starter" guru (ie: Newbie to VB with years of other experience) so hopefully the info posted by Bullschmidt helps get you started.

You are definately going to want to look at "CDO".
