Hi.
I am getting a problem with a Networker remote client running a scheduled SQL backup. The backup is failing and putting the following message in the savegroup details -
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=
Unsucesfull Savesets -
*Server1:MSSQL: nsrsqlsv: RPC Error, Unable to Send
*Server1:MSSQL: nsrsqlsv: Send Chunk To MMD failed, Softwar Casued Connection Abort
*Server1:MSSQL: 05/21/03 02:49:18 nsrexec: Attempting Kill on a remote save
*Server1:MSSQL: aborted due to inactivity
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Dbase is 50 gb and the failure occurs after approx 40gb has been written to tape on the central Host.
This server is one of 10 clisnt servers to a cental host. the other 9 are OK and this one has been OK for some time. I can see that certain MMD and RPC errors are network related and have confirmed that the switch port and Nic settings match at the Networker Host and Client end and that there are only a 12 overruns / underruns out of 400 million packets sent / received so don't think i have got any significant problems.
any advise appreciated
David
