Hi.

I have a customer who no longer has a receptionist at one of their offices and they want the calls on their lines to go to a receptionist on ANOTHER BCM, who can shuffle the calls around.

I cannot go into the FORWARDING BCM and just change the control set, so I wonder how and if this is possible.

I know the SIMPLE thing to do would be forward the lines to the receptionist on the leaving receptionists phone, but they don't want that.

Regards

I take it they are not networked together? best method.

If not you could forward external the old set but that takes up 2 lines per call.

Hi curlycord.

They are networked together as the 4 digit dial between offices today.
I have attempted to forward the extension via forward all to the other receptionist, but because they are not on the same bcm it won't let me.

Regards

I cant recall but you may need to play with routes and forward to the dest code plus the other sites DN.

Hi Cook1082.

Allow redirect has always been enabled on the set.

What I did find with trial and error was in the auto-attendant, in the option Operator Settings, I have the attendant extension as the extension they want in the other BCM in a different office.

Now when I call the office in question, the phone rings the predetermined times, get the autoattendant, press 0... but it says the "one moment please" and then "the operator is not available" and I get the present receptionists voicemail box.

Any other ideas?

regards

F982 to make the operator available.
I think you also need the MCDN key codes to make AA transfer work with another site.

Hi All.

Got it working.
Best way? Don't know...
Right way? Not sure...
Works? YES

In the callpilot, go to the operator settings, and point it to a phone... not in use. It seems to work only on digital sets...
Go to the auto attendant and set it to the phone you chose previously.
In the sets menu, select your set and do a forward all to the extension on the other system that will be the receptionist.
I tested and it works!

Hope this helps someone else!

Regards

The method I gave was via the telset - F982

Curious, just entering the other attendants DN in the Table and the Operator settings not work?

Hi curlycord.

When I entered the new attendant number into the system, the auto attendant would answer, i'd press 0 and the response "one moment please" came up. After a couple of seconds, the system said "that extension is not available..."

Regards

Hi there.

Better way to do this... the initial way I did it, while it worked, only allows 3 transfers...

1) Create a ccr tree.
2) Make it a home tranfer node.
3) The outdial method is : intercom. Enter the extension you want.
4) Go to system properties.
5) Enable redirect if not done already.
6) Enable network tranfer.

Not only does this allow more transfers, but if there is something that would affect the set in the previous configuration I created, the forwarding would break.

Regards
