Hi,
We implementing a network fax solution with a fax board behind the Ericsson MD110 PBX for our customer.
Initial Scenario:
1. Initially, we're proposing using a Brooktrout 4 port analog fax board.
2. The idea is to give each user a fax extension and pull out 4 analog lines from the PBX.
3. The PBX will send DTMF tones based on the called party no. via the 4 analog lines
4. The fax board will then identify the called party no. and route the faxes accordingly.
Problem:
1. However, according to the Ericsson MD110 vendor, MD110 only support outband RS232 signaling.
2. As such, it doesnt transmit the DTMF tones and also the fax board does not have a RS232 port.
Question:
1. Is there any other way to send the called party no. to the fax board?
2. Can we link the MD110 via BRI or PRI and use a digital (BRI or PRI) fax board instead for the network fax system so that we can identify the called party no. successfully and route the faxes?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Many thanks![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
