Greetings,

Would requires some help from all the Domino Guru here.
I have a domino server setup, to host nsf databases for users to post documents and messages.

There was a function in Domino R4 where an alert will be sent to specified users when somebody post a document in the database and since migrating to new server with R 5.06a that function seem to be missing

Anybody can show me how to set the "agent" back so that my users will be able to receive the alert whenever somebody post a new message in their allocated database ?

Thank you.

Cheers

1.) Make certain that the server has signed the database and has ACL rights to the database, otherwise it will never run. In the Administrator, on the Files Tab, with the database highlighted, under the Database twistie, select Sign. Be certain you select it to run under the current server's ID.

2.) Make certain that you have included the server as one who has rights to run agents in the Server Document on the Security settings. Remember that restricted methods are those that give the agent the right to directly modify the file system on the Server - so be careful as to what has this right.

3.) Check the agent run settings to ensure it is working at the frequency that you are expecting.

Hi IIhomme,

Thanks for the advice. I manage to set it. My notes.ini did not have the Amgr under the server tasks, thus it isnt working at all. Since putting it in. It works fine.

Thanks.
