Send an email when a column in a list is modified...

Hello folks!

Since I am really new on this I hope my question is not a dumb one...

So I have this problem.

I have a list that includes a column for an STATUS, which can be IN PROGRESS or COMPLETED. What I need is that Sharepoint send me an email once an item is changed to status of COMPLETED. I have created a workflow in Sharepoint Designer but is not working, the field is modified to COMPLETED and nothing happens and when I check the workflow status it does not report anything.

Is there something that I need to check in order to make this thing work?

Any help is more than welcomed.

First, make sure your workflow settings Start options are updated.

Open your workflow in SharePoint Designer, in the Ribbon, you will see a Manage section. In there, click on Workflow Settings, in the Start Options check the last two boxes. The ones that end in created and changed.


Your workflow should look like this:

If Current Item:Status equals Completed
Email YourName
