Hi,
I was just charged with the task to figure out a way to allow end-users to send e-mail to the CEO anonymously, to ask about whatever is bothering them without fear of retaliation. Anyone out there know a way to do this? I can only think of one, which is to create an e-mail account called Anonymous@... and give everyone "send as" access to it. But this could get ugly real fast, and is ripe for abuse... (don't want any harassment suits filed...)

If anyone has an idea, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Hobbes

Thanks for the tip, but I was hoping for a trick to use in Outlook or Exchange. This service is interesting, but very expensive at $4 a pop for forwarding an anonymous e-mail.

Try searching on Google for Ghost E-mail. You should find an nice App there where you only need the SMTP Server name and away you go.

set up an email form on a website on your intranet. set the FROM value to be your anonymous@. Restrict access to people from local IP ranges to prevent outside abuse. Destination to the CEO's mailbox, or a secondary mailbox that he/she has access to.

I have utlilsed your solution, but no matter what you do you will get abuse of the system. Its inevitable. We had to stop it because of the abuse.
There is no solution to your problme because if you give people anonymous access then, either your CEO will develop a thick skin, or he will learn more than he anticipated !!
Good Luck !
