I have a database that has among other things the telephone number of the client (in a text box on a form) I would like to double click on the box and send the telephone number string to the modem to speed dial the number and pick it up on a telephone hooked to the modem line.

I have been able to get the old dialer program (circa windows 95) to come up on double-click but not transfer the number to be dialed

am I missing something simple here or do I need to go to VBA and use the MSComm1 commands?

nothing quite like finding the answer within a few minutes of asking the question. I found this snippet in another location. added the "91" to trip my PBX

Code:
Private Sub telephone_Click()
Application.Run "utility.wlib_autodial", "91" & telephone.Text
End Sub

If someone has a better answer let me know but this seem to be the choice.
