Club and sword? [smile] I have found, even in my very-small org, that getting the message out in plenty of time and read by all will still end up in noncompliance before and whining after.

Do yourself a favor...tell them three months (I second the email idea) and, at the last minute (because everyone will forget) say there will be a one-week extension. Then give them another month. Hopefully even your interminably busy users will "make time" to clean up their mailbox.

And, just to be safe, spool off and store a tape or DVDs of the old Exchange store and hang on to it for a few months.

If you use the "Invite to meeting" the Zelandakh recommended then you can set reminders that will be sent to all invitees at specified intervals.

Other than that, a personal alarmed reminder in your Outlook calendar at specified intervals could be the trigger to have you re-send the email...although in this case you could strengthen your demands by stressing the impending havoc you are about to wreak and the rapidly-shortening deadline to sheer and utter doom [smile]...

Send them all a message telling them to clean up, and that there will be a limit on the amount of email they can migrate into the new system. Tell them they will be unable to send email if they are over the limit after they are migrated. Then set mailbox limits on the new Exchange server.
