I have a customer who is interested in offering limited time use wireless Internet at a ski resort. The users would pay a small amount and get a card with a username/password combo. Once the username/password is used, a system will keep track of their online time and expire after x number of hours. How would I set this up ? What kind of hardware would be required (I would probably use more robust hardware like Cisco). What kind of software will I need. I don't want to go around and set encryption keys on every laptop so I guess a VPN solution would be ideal. I don't want to mess around in AD and create user accounts. What do you guys suggest ?

I've heard of software befor ethat can cope with this - Nomadix. I have never had experience with this software, but this is the kind of commercial 'pay per use' w-lan controlling s/w that you need, i think. Google it. Oh, and if the resrot is in the swiss alps, then I am an expert, and can install it for you :p

Thanks RussellMcL. I got the name of Netcomm from another forum which sounds pretty much what I asked for. I'll have to see if the client is interested. Naw, the resort is in North America.
