I have about 4 new machines (all re-imaged) that will randomly drop network connections. At first It thought bad nic, but after installing new nic's they still dropped. Then I moved them to working cubicles to test the cords, jacks, etc, they still droppec. It seems to work for a while about 2-3 days (about DHCP renewal time) and then drops off again after I change the link speed and duples from auto or default to 100mb full or half. The only thing new is that there was a new switch installed a while back, but one of the computers was doing this before that new switch. Here is the error message. Warning

Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address **********. The following error occured:
The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.
