Self update on my client computers stopped working a while back and the only event near to and just before they stopped working were two updates: SQL Server 2005 Security Update Service Pack 3 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3. MS Accounting 2009 also stopped accessing my datafile, but that is another issue for another day.
I've been going through all the help topics and IIS console, the GPO objects console, and the WSUS server but before I try to correct this and perhaps pull a "bull in the china shop" manuever, can anyone point me in the best direction to determine exactly what fix is needed and where to find the fix? I may not be giving enough info but here are some details:
SBS2008 w/Exchange 7
WSUS 3.0
All clients either Win 7 Pro or Ultimate
There is also reference to the port 80 and 443 and BPA is suggesting I unbind port 443 from the Default Web Site as SBS2008 by default does not enable ssl for this web site on that port. I'm not sure if this is related.
