Self SSL question

I setup a selfsll cer and everything looks fine. but everytime a hit the site it prompts me with a security alert. I click YES and move on. I even installed the cert and it still keeps coming back. how do I get rid of this?

add it to trusted sites...or import cert...or get a legit cert.
