Hi there:
Does anybody know the command for a macro to close? - if I need one in the first place?!
At present any macro I write is run by opening the mac file, selecting File/Run then closing it.
This seems old fashioned to say the least, especially as some users can inadvertently edit the file. Also with more than one macro shortcut on a desktop users can get confused unless each macro shuts down after it has run.
I am sure I must be doing something wrong to run a macro this way ..but what?
Thanks!

I would suggest creating a batch file which calls the macro editor and runs the compiled mcx version of the macro i.e.

"c:\Program Files\Cognos\cer3\bin\runmac32.exe" "Macroname.MCX"
