We are using a product called VSI-FAX (by Esker) to send faxes. The Outlook client runs fine but if the client has setup an outlook signature it sends a blank page with the signature (either in text format or html formating). So a 1 page fax turns into 2 page & is sort of annoying to the recipient.
Other than having the user(s) remember to delete their signature everytime their faxing vs emailing is there a way to have outlook selectively turn the signature on/off based on the TO selection?

Yes I've talked to Esker about whether they have a way to ignore the signature file from their product & they don't so thought I'd attempt it from the outlook side.

Thanks for any info you can share.

Hi
The signature option is for a new mail message or replies/forwards. It is not defined by who a message is sent to as is evident by the signature before you even enter a recipient name.

There would be only two ways, and you probably have the easiest way right now:
1 Remove manually when doing the mail
2 Remove signature and manually add for every mail

Not the best options obviously, but I doubt there's a way to do what you need to do. I don't use the "Fax" program you have, so have no way of knowing whether that program has an option to turn the signature off.

When sending the fax, is it from the New Mail message option to a recipient that is in fact a fax machine? If that is the case, then I doubt there will be anything you could do.

Good luck.
