Hi
I am creating a collage.... of various images.
I would like to know how to select specific items from a picture and move it and save it in another file. But I would like to go around the item selected....

Example: There is a ball in the picture.... I want to be able to somehow select the ball from the picture and put it in the collage piece

I have Indesign cs and I am completely new to this program.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Miriam

The best thing to do would be to fix it in Photoshop

You can't do it in InDesign

Well... you could do it in InDesign, but it's not the ideal tool for it. You could create a picture box that serves as a clipping path, similar to a clipping path you'd build in Photoshop (the tools are effectively the same). For a beach ball I might start by drawing a circular picture box of roughly the correct size, importing the picture, and then using the various pen tools to reshape the picture box until only the beach ball remained visible.

But again, Photoshop is the better tool for that job.
