Hi everybody!

I wonder if there's a select statement which returns the column names of a table?

Perhaps this is dead easy, but i am a beginner and my SQL-book keeps silent about this topic!

Thanx.

If your on oracle look at the views user_taqb_columns, dba_tab_columns and all_tab_columns....

Hi MikeJones!

Hm... sorry, but my problem is already solved.
I wanted to get the table's row names via SELECT for processing them in a JAVA app (I am doing this with JDBC).
But JAVA/JDBC has its own method (like it has its own method for everything) for getting the row names.

But howerver... thank you! :)
