Selecting sql datasource in Crystal 8.5

In Crystal xi or 2008
when adding database tables its possible to use 'add command' and enter a sql script to select only the fields required for report.

Is there a similar function in 8.5 ?

No..But you can use the show sql and edit there..see this thread:
