I am trying to batch print Excel spreadsheets from Windows Explorer. I select multiple files (all in the same folder) with the CTRL key, right-click one of them and choose Print. Instead of Excel opening each document and sending them to the printer, I get an error message says "Windows Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

This happens if I select any number of files. If I only select one file and right-click Print, it will print fine with no errors. Windows Explorer only crashes if I select more than 1 file.

Any clues?

Just out of curiosity is your printer set to:

Print directly to the printer?
OR
Spool printed documents so that...

(Advanced tab of printer properties)

Printer is set to "Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster: Start printing immediately.

Have you tried (can you try) changing that to

"start after last page is spooled"

I have made the setting change.

Explorer still crashes.
